Over the past time, many cases of school violence have occurred in Lam Dong, causing this issue to be of concern to voters. A voter in Tan Thanh commune said that the situation of conflict and bullying in schools has not been effectively controlled and proposed that the province have specific solutions to prevent it.
Regarding this proposal, the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training said that preventing and combating school violence is identified as a regular task to build a safe, healthy and friendly educational environment.
According to the education sector, school violence stems from many causes. A part of students still have limited skills in emotional control, communication and conflict resolution. Social networks also have negative impacts.
In addition, the coordination between family, school and society in some places is not close. Psychological counseling, early detection and intervention in conflicts at some educational institutions are still limited.
Over the past time, the Department of Education and Training has requested schools to implement regulations on building a safe, healthy, friendly educational environment and preventing and combating school violence.
The sector also organized a thematic conference on strengthening the prevention and control of school violence and launched the "School Order Enforcement Initiative on Prevention and Control of School Violence" competition for the third time in 2026.
Coordination with the Provincial Police and local authorities has also been strengthened, focusing on legal propaganda, maintaining security and school order, and guiding skills to prevent violations.
According to the Department of Education and Training, 100% of general education institutions have coordinated with the police force to organize propaganda and legal education activities, and skills to prevent violations and school violence.
In the coming time, the education sector will increase the responsibility of heads of educational institutions in building a safe learning environment. Inspection and supervision work will also be strengthened. Collectives and individuals who allow school violence to occur due to lax management or irresponsibility in prevention will be considered for responsibility.
Schools are required to promote moral education, lifestyle, life skills and conflict resolution skills for students. Legal education and guidance for students to use social networks safely, civilly, and responsibly are also emphasized.
One of the tasks set out is to grasp the situation early. When conflicts are detected, schools need to intervene and handle them promptly, while maintaining channels to receive information and feedback from students and parents.
The Department of Education and Training identifies prevention and combat of school violence as a long-term task, in which priority is given to prevention, taking education as the foundation and increasing coordination between families, schools, local authorities and social organizations.
