On June 14, information from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee said that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has just unanimously approved the project to arrange and reorganize public preschool and general education institutions according to the 2-level local government model, phase 2026-2030.
According to the project, the whole province currently has 1,412 public preschool and general education institutions. By 2030, it is expected to reduce 153 schools. Along with that, 883 satellite school points will be arranged, reducing 310 points to 573 points.
The arrangement aims to streamline the network, improve management efficiency, use resources, and be consistent with the requirements of reorganizing the system in the context of innovating the local governance model.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has also agreed on a plan to establish the Nghe An Children's Protection Center based on receiving SOS Children's Village Vinh. The Center is a public non-business unit in the field of social assistance, under the Nghe An Department of Health, with legal status, seal and separate account.
The Center will receive in the original state all children and teenagers being cared for and nurtured at SOS Children's Village Vinh (currently there are 124 children in 10 houses and youth dormitories).
In the coming time, the center will continue to survey and receive more children according to regulations, ensuring care, nurturing and social assistance in the area.
