On August 27, the Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) of Lam Dong province reported to the Provincial People's Committee on the cancellation of the results of supplementary enrollment of 38 students at Phan Boi Chau High School - Phan Thiet.
According to the Department of Education and Training, in the 2026 - 2027 school year, this school is assigned 1,080 targets. After completing enrollment, the school enrolled 1,042 students, still lacking 38 targets.
On August 17, the school submitted an application for additional enrollment in grade 10 and was approved in principle by the Department of Education and Training.
However, in the process of implementation, the school has conducted supplementary admission consideration for the list of students who submitted applications directly at the school without implementing it on the 10th grade admission software and not in accordance with the training process.
After that, the school continued to submit to the Department of Education and Training for approval the list of 38 additional admitted students. The Department issued a decision approving and the school announced the results.
After the announcement, Phan Boi Chau High School - Phan Thiet received feedback that among these 38 students, some had passed the second wish at 2 other schools.
Among them, 23 students were admitted to nguyện vọng 2 at Phan Chu Trinh High School - Phan Thiet and 4 students were admitted to nguyện vọng 2 at Phan Thiet High School.
Recognizing the error, Phan Boi Chau High School - Phan Thiet submitted a report requesting the cancellation of the supplementary enrollment results.
After reviewing and checking the data on the Enrollment 10 software, the Department of Education and Training issued a decision to cancel the additional admission results for 38 students. The school is required to notify students and parents.
Currently, the Department of Education and Training is guiding the school to re-implement the supplementary enrollment process according to regulations to recruit enough quotas. At the same time, the Department proposed to review the responsibilities of relevant individuals.
According to the Department of Education and Training, allowing high schools to conduct supplementary enrollment is to ensure assigned targets, in accordance with the actual situation of localities, and create more opportunities for students who have not been admitted to 10th grade high schools to participate in supplementary enrollment.
By August 25, the Department had agreed on the policy of additional enrollment for 47 high schools.
According to the process, after being approved, schools must use Enrollment 10 software to statistically count the list of students who have not been admitted to nguyện vọng 1, nguyện vọng 2 and students who have been admitted to nguyện vọng 2 at other schools to review and compare with the supplementary registered list.
Then enter the list and quotas into the "Additional Enrollment" function on the software for the system to conduct admission consideration and export the list of successful candidates.
