Loves machines and technology
Amidst the sound of machines running steadily in the practice workshop at Hanoi High-Tech College, Nguyen Ba Thuy Trang attentively operates on a CNC machine. The image of a petite female student standing in a space full of mechanical machinery surprised many people, because Metal cutting has long been considered a specialized major for men.
But for Thuy Trang, choosing this major originated from a special love for machinery and technology. "Initially, I was quite worried because the class had very few girls. But the more I studied, the more interested I became because I was exposed to modern machinery and directly created products using my own techniques" - Trang shared.

According to the female student, what makes her determined to pursue this major is not only passion but also the broad career potential in the future.
Currently, the labor market needs a lot of human resources in the mechanical engineering industry, especially those with good practical skills and who can work immediately after graduation.
I found out that many businesses recruit with quite stable salaries and open development opportunities, so I want to try my hand at this field. I think if I have skills and am willing to learn, I can completely develop long-term in the modern mechanical engineering industry" - Trang shared.
After graduating, the female student wishes to work in a modern and dynamic international environment, where she has the opportunity to access new technologies and advanced production processes to continue learning and improving her skills. For Trang, working in the right profession and constantly developing herself is the biggest goal when pursuing this major.

Wide open opportunity
Speaking of mechanics, many people still imagine hot factories, heavy and greasy work. However, along with the development of technology and automation, the metal cutting industry today has changed a lot. Modern equipment and a smart production environment are opening up opportunities for young people who love technology, including many female students.
According to Mr. Le The Hung - Head of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Hanoi High-Tech College, the concept of mechanics as a major that is too hard for women is gradually changing.
Currently, there are many female students studying in this field and can completely do the job well. They can take on positions from design, programming to operating machinery on modern production lines" - Mr. Hung shared.

Graduates of this major can hold the following positions:
Employees, specialists, and craftsmen directly perform the processing work on common machinery and tools of the metal cutting industry such as universal grinders, universal tools, grinders. In addition, combine the use of machinery such as CNC grinders, CNC tools...
Taking on the position of technical staff in factories, workshops, companies with operations or related to the mechanical engineering industry.
Production team leader, supervising the processing progress in enterprises producing, assembling, repairing, and trading mechanical products...
