Not too surprising about the score
In the 2024 high school graduation exam, Phuong Linh had a "dream" score with 9 points in Math; 9.75 points in Literature; 10 points in English; 9 points in History, 9.75 points in Geography and 9.5 points in Civic Education. Phuong Linh's total admission score for block D01 is 28.75.
Sharing about the results achieved, the female student said that she did not feel too surprised because most of the exams were multiple-choice, and the results could be checked immediately after completing the test. Besides, during the studying process as well as the survey tests, Phuong Linh always maintains a stable performance.
Achieving a near perfect score in Literature - the only subject with an essay test, Phuong Linh did not feel too surprised. The female student explained: "During the study process, the teacher reviewed and corrected our lessons very carefully. She always emphasizes not focusing too much on literary discussion and ignoring reading comprehension and social discussion. Being fully equipped with knowledge, I feel very confident."
For Phuong Linh, the only surprising factor was the fact that she had the highest D01 score in the country because the female student thought that many of her peers were also very good.
“This morning, at 8 a.m., when my scores were announced, I checked my scores. I feel happy with the scoreboard as expected but I don't pay much attention. It wasn't until my teachers and friends texted me that I knew I was the valedictorian. My emotions at that time were like bursting, I called my mother and cried" - Phuong Linh emotionally shared.
Have a clear learning strategy
With the motto "If opportunity doesn't knock build a door", Phuong Linh is always proactive in all her work.
“My learning experience is to spend 100% of my time focusing on lessons, actively absorbing knowledge right in class. Teachers will teach knowledge in detail and meticulously, answering questions. That way, I won't waste too much time, thereby having more time to do advanced exercises" - Phuong Linh shared.
Phuong Linh also applied initiative when she continuously submitted applications for scholarship consideration to many universities. Currently, the female student has won a 75% scholarship from VinUni University and British University Vietnam (BUV), a 50% scholarship from Fulbright University Vietnam, and a scholarship worth 250 million VND from the University. Swinburne. However, Phuong Linh is currently still considering between schools that have won scholarships and Foreign Trade University.
“Before choosing a major or school, I spent a lot of time researching because my current major is related to my future career. I will consider which career I am suitable for as well as the job opportunities in that industry" - the female student confided.
