On October 3, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) held a conference of key officials, announcing and handing over resolutions to the board of directors.
At the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung was assigned the responsibility of running Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (replacing his predecessor, Dr. Su Dinh Thanh, who ceased to be Director ofUEH due to term expiration).
Previously, on September 22, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training issued a policy to agree to allow Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics to carry out the process of reappointing 2 Deputy Directors.
On that basis, theUEH University Council has implemented the steps according to the process and issued a Resolution to reappoint two Deputy Directors: Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung and Dr. Dinh Cong Khai; and assigned the executive responsibility to Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung.
Thus, the current leadership of UEH includes: Chairman of the University Council, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, Deputy Director in charge of Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung and Deputy Director, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung (born in 1978) is currently Deputy Director of UEH and Director of Vinh Long - UEH Mekong Branch.
He graduated with a degree in Accounting - Auditing from UEH in 2000, then received a master's degree from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT, Thailand) and a master's degree in Finance from the European Management School ESCP-EAP (France) in 2004.
In 2019, he defended his doctoral thesis in Accounting at UEH and was appointed associate professor in 2023.
During nearly 25 years of working at UEH, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung has held many positions at the university: Lecturer, Secretary of the School's Youth Union, Head of the Department of Finance - Accounting, Chief Accountant, Head of Human Resources Department, Deputy Director of the Institute of Innovation, Deputy Director/Director of Vinh Long Branch -UEH Mekong.
Since 2020, he was appointed Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, then transferred to the position of Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (2023).
