On October 3, a source from Lao Dong Newspaper confirmed that the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee had disciplined two officials of the Cultural Heritage Conservation Center.
These two people are related to the proposal to use Bao Dai tower in Nha Trang as a place for leaders of departments and branches.
Public opinion has been stirred up by the submission of the Khanh Hoa Cultural Heritage Conservation Center, proposing to put some villas in the Bao Dai tower relic cluster in Nha Trang for the leaders of departments and branches to use as accommodation.
This proposal is considered contrary to the purpose of preserving and exploiting the relic in violation of its functions. On the other hand, this proposal has met with the reaction of the people and experts, forcing the authorities to review and rectify.
Bao Dai Gate is a complex of relics associated with many historical and cultural imprints of Nha Trang. This place used to be a resort of King Bao Dai and the royal family.
In 1995, this villa cluster was recognized as a National Architectural and Artistic Relic.
