According to the decision, Mr. Dau Thanh Tung - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - will be the Head of the Steering Committee.
Mr. Do Duc Que - Director of the Department of Education and Training - is the Standing Deputy Head of the Committee. Mr. Vuong Van Viet - Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promoting Education - was invited to participate as Deputy Head of the Committee.
The Steering Committee has members who are representatives of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Finance, the Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Border Guard Command, Thanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio, Television and the Provincial Labor Federation.
The Steering Committee has the task of assisting the Provincial People's Committee in directing, guiding, and urging departments, branches, unions, businesses and People's Committees of communes and wards to implement the goals and tasks of building a learning society that have been approved by competent authorities.
At the same time, the Steering Committee assists the Provincial People's Committee in inspecting, supervising, evaluating, summarizing, and summarizing the implementation of programs, goals, and tasks to build a learning society in the province.
Members of the Steering Committee work on a part-time basis. Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training is the standing agency of the Steering Committee.
The working group for the Steering Committee is decided by the Head of the Steering Committee based on the proposal of the Department of Education and Training.
The operating expenses of the Steering Committee are guaranteed by the state budget, and are allocated in the annual recurrent expenditure estimate of the Department of Education and Training.
The consolidation of the Steering Committee aims to continue to implement the Project "Building a Learning Society in the period 2021 - 2030" and the Movement "The whole country emulations to build a learning society, promoting lifelong learning in the period 2023 - 2030" in Thanh Hoa province.
