On August 22, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFFC) of Long Huong ward (HCMC) said that it had just organized the program "Lighting up Dreams - Supporting Education" in 2026, awarding Nguyen Huu Tho scholarships and learning support to students in difficult circumstances in the area before the new school year 2026-2027.
The program is organized to continue to promote the spirit of "mutual affection", care for social security, and at the same time encourage and empower students in difficult circumstances to have more conditions to go to school and rise up in their studies.
In the program, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Huong ward awarded 29 scholarships and 51 study support gifts to 80 students in difficult circumstances in the ward. Among them, scholarships for primary school students are worth 1 million VND/part; secondary school students are worth 1.5 million VND/part; study support gifts are worth 500,000 VND/part.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Huong ward, this is a practical activity contributing to the implementation of education promotion and talent promotion in the ward. The scholarships and learning support awarded not only bring material value, contributing to reducing difficulties for the families of the students before the new school year, but also are a spiritual encouragement, showing the concern and sharing of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and organizations and unions for students in difficult circumstances.
