After completing the registration of her son's accommodation at the dormitory on August 24 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade when completing the admission procedures, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Hien (from Dong Thap) breathed a sigh of relief.
"Knowing that my child was admitted to university, my family was very happy, so today - the first day the school organized the admission program, I took the opportunity to take my child to complete the procedures and facilities to register for accommodation at the dormitory for him. I was afraid that if I arrived late, the dormitory would be full," said Ms. Hien.
Ms. Hien shared that her family is farming and the economy is not very well off, so she wants to keep her children in a dormitory to reduce the financial burden, and at the same time feel safer when they rent a room outside.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dong (Tien Giang province, now Dong Thap) said that after completing the admission procedures, she will go to the alleys around the school to find a place to rent for her children.
"Before coming here, I also learned that the rental price is quite high, from 2-4 million VND/room with wide and convenient options. I am planning to rent a room for less than 3 million VND to my child in the first few months, then find more friends to live with," Ms. Dong shared.
Admitted to Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Hoang Hiep (Dong Nai) said that although he had only had a benchmark score 2 days ago, he had asked his relatives to rent a room more than 10 days ago.
"My exam score is quite high, so I know I will be admitted from the time I register my wishes, and I am worried about finding a difficult place to live, so I proactively ask relatives to find one in advance so that when I get into school, I can have a place to live," Hiep said.
After the announcement of the standard scores, schools have also implemented a plan to welcome students to attend school, and at the same time organized surveys and introduced safe and reputable accommodation.
Van Hien University said it has conducted a survey and compiled more than 5,000 rooms to meet the criteria of safety, cleanliness and location near training facilities.
"During the process of completing procedures at the school's facilities, parents and candidates in need will be provided with detailed information by the consulting committee and introduced to appropriate boarding and dormitory addresses," the school representative informed.
