On the morning of August 25, at the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Executive Committee Conference (term 2020 - 2025), the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced and presented decisions on personnel work.
The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee decided to transfer Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to take up the position at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
At the same time, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee assigned and appointed Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to hold the position of Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Mr. Duong Anh Duc was born in 1968, from Da Nang. He is Associate Professor of Information Technology, PhD in Mathematics.
Before participating in state management, Mr. Duc had a long time of association with Ho Chi Minh City National University, holding the positions of: Vice Principal of the University of Natural Sciences, Principal of the University of Information Technology, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
In 2017, Mr. Duong Anh Duc was appointed by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City (now the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City).
In March 2020, Mr. Duong Anh Duc was elected Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
In May 2024, Mr. Duong Anh Duc was transferred to hold the position of Secretary of the District 1 Party Committee.
From July 2025, Mr. Duong Anh Duc was assigned to work at the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee as Deputy Head of the Standing Committee, before being officially appointed as Head of the Committee.
