This is the third year the program has been organized, aiming to support students in difficult circumstances to return to their hometowns to celebrate Lunar New Year, contributing to sharing travel expenses and helping learners feel secure and reunite with their families after a year of studying far from home.
With a total budget of 900 million VND, this year's program supports 204 students, including students of the High School for the Gifted, students of universities in the Ho Chi Minh City National University system and students of 10 colleges and universities outside the system currently staying in the dormitory of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

The trips pass through 8 provinces and cities, with the main routes including Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Hue and Quang Tri.
A noteworthy new point of this year's program is that it is the first time to implement ticket support for students returning to Ho Chi Minh City after the Tet holiday. This policy helps learners proactively plan their studies, reduce financial pressure and feel secure to return to the lecture hall after Tet.
Present on the bus home, Thanh Thao, a first-year student at the University of Science (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), emotionally shared that the program helped her have the opportunity to reunite with her family after a year of many difficulties.

Thanh Thao's family in Gia Lai province was heavily affected by storms and floods in the past year, causing many economic obstacles. Previously, she planned to stay in Ho Chi Minh City to work part-time during Tet to cover her tuition fees.
Similarly, Minh Quang, a student at Bach Khoa University (from Dak Lak), said that the damage caused by storms and floods in the past year has caused his family many difficulties, while travel expenses during Tet are a significant burden. This support helps him to return to reunite with his family and have more motivation to continue studying.
In addition to organizing bus trips, Ho Chi Minh City National University also gives bus tickets to 74 students to other provinces and cities, contributing to helping students conveniently return to their hometowns for Tet.
During the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and training institutions coordinated with many sponsors to deploy diverse Tet care activities for officials, lecturers, workers, students, and pupils. Nearly 1,700 turns of students have been supported, with a total resource of nearly 1.6 billion VND.
