On May 29, Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology officially reported to Da Nang City Police about a scam targeting students who want to study abroad. These subjects have forged the school's announcements, impersonating a specialized certificate training program with the Russian Government to appropriate students' money.
According to the Vietnam Medical - Pharmaceutical College of Technology, the fake document was professionally designed, named "Noting about international student study abroad program for specialized training certificate cooperation", even forged confirmation from the Russian Government. This is accompanied by information about a talk show "international Scholarship and International Student Tourist" with full details about the time, location, criteria for considering scholarships and instructions for submitting documents, creating a reliable cover. The Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology has also confirmed that this document is completely fake and not related to any activities of the school.
Previously, on May 27, a female student named T.H.Y reported to the school about being scammed out of up to 390 million VND. This female student was contacted by the subjects via a strange phone number, instructed to submit study abroad applications and transfer money to their accounts. The school quickly provided two phone numbers related to this fraud to the police to serve the investigation.
In this situation, the Vietnam Medical - Pharmaceutical College of Technology has issued a notice advising students and parents to be vigilant, absolutely not transfer money to any individual or organization without verifying information directly to the school through official channels. The school emphasizes that information verification is extremely important before making any transactions related to the scholarship or study abroad program.
