Increasingly serious cases of violence
On November 7, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province said that from the beginning of 2025 to November 6, the whole province had 9 cases of school violence. Of which, from the beginning of the 2025 - 2026 school year until now, there have been 2 cases that have caused particularly serious consequences, causing 2 students to die and many students at risk of being taken advantage of.

The incidents show that school violence is becoming more and more complicated and reckless, no longer stopping at common fights. Many cases of dangerous weapons such as knives, helmets, iron pipes appeared...
The main cause comes from small conflicts such as collisions during class, teasing, and conflicts on social networks. Meanwhile, many people who witnessed the incident could not stop but cheered, filmed clips, and shared them online, making the situation more serious.
The current state of school violence has consequences for life and health, creating a confused mentality in society, affecting discipline, order and the image of schools; at the same time violating regulations on social order and safety, creating an unsafe feeling for students and their families a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa shared.
According to this unit, the main cause of the incidents is that a part of students lack behavioral skills, control emotions, and are not aware of the harmful effects of violent behavior.
In addition, many students are negatively affected by social networks, games, and violent movies, leading to impersonation and deviation. In addition, due to the psychological characteristics of vulnerable adolescents, who like to express themselves, combined with the lack of attention from their families due to the pressure of making a living, children lack orientation and timely sharing.
Deploying many drastic solutions
To proactively prevent school violence, the Thanh Hoa Education sector has been implementing many synchronous solutions to tighten discipline and order in schools.

The proposed solutions include: promoting propaganda to cadres, teachers, staff, students and parents about the unpredictable consequences of school violence; establishing a hotline to receive information about school violence and the risk of violence in educational institutions; improving the capacity and skills of school violence prevention and control for teachers and staff in charge of student work.
In addition, schools are required to strengthen supervision, detect early risks of violence, make a list of students showing signs of stress, conflict with friends, drop out of school, regularly playing games... to have appropriate educational measures, attracting students to participate in healthy activities.
"In the coming time, we will continue to request schools to coordinate more closely with the commune police to organize inspections and control students' belongings and private belongings, resolutely not allowing students to bring prohibited items to school" - said a representative of the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training.
In addition, the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training also coordinated with the Provincial Police and the Provincial Youth Union to organize launching ceremony, sign a commitment to ensure school safety, replicate the model of "Safe schools - no violence", aiming to build a safe, humane and friendly educational environment for students.
According to the representative of the Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province Police, implementing the plan to simultaneously inspect students' compliance with traffic laws nationwide according to the direction of the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security, on the first day of the campaign (November 4), Thanh Hoa Traffic Police force inspected 38 schools and 31 vehicle parking lots around the school gate.
As a result, more than 7,500 students were parked on motorbikes at school, 248 students were parked outside school; 238 cases of students wearing helmets that did not meet standards were recorded.
Also through inspection, more than 150 parents came to sign a commitment not to give their children vehicles when they are underage; at the same time, the authorities requested 18 households to sign a commitment not to keep vehicles for underage students to drive.
