""I feel happy and proud to know that I am the valedictorian with absolute numbers. But I also felt a little pressure because I received many congratulatory phone calls. Before, rarely did many people call me that" - Phong shared.
In this year's high school graduation exam, the male student achieved 30/30 points in three subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, becoming one of the 8 valedictorians of the A00 block.
Before that, he was the valedictorian of the Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam with 130/150 points. In March, the male student also took the entrance exam with 90.54/100 thinking assessment points from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, ranking 4th out of nearly 19,000 candidates.

With the results of these 2 exams, Phong said that he was not too pressured by the high school graduation exam, but still tried to achieve the highest results.
Attending the exam with confidence, comfort and after finishing the exam, comparing with the answer announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, the male student was quite confident with his work, but was not really confident in getting absolute scores because he was worried that there were a few small mistakes or errors that could affect the exam results.
For Math, Duy Phong commented that the exam is suitable for the task, but the most difficult is the two perfect sentences - solving confidences and arranging books. Physics and Chemistry are somewhat easier than Math.
Regarding his learning method, Duy Phong said that he took extra classes, but mainly studied in class and did all the teachers' tests because the number of tests was quite large. In class, he focused on grasping basic knowledge to understand the nature of the problem, then, taking many exam questions to get used to the new exam structure.
"Because I have many exam questions, I don't feel confused with this year's exam questions" - Duy phong shared.
During the final stage, he did not study to increase but tried to stay at his most comfortable. With his score, the male student plans to register for admission to Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
"I like manufacturing, robots, and inventions, but I think I'm not very good at it. I am still in the process of considering my wishes" - Phong said.
Mr. Vu Viet Hung - a Math teacher - homeroom teacher of class 12A5 did not feel surprised when his student achieved the title of national valedictorian because according to him, Duy Phong is an excellent student, studying well in all subjects.
"Duy Phong is the class monitor, I am a cheerful, sociable guy with a very special mindset" - Mr. Hung commented.
However, according to Mr. Hung, achieving absolute scores in all 3 subjects is extremely difficult, requiring the determination of students, the support of families and teachers.
Sharing about his journey with his students, Mr. Hung said that since Circular 29 took effect in February, Mr. Hung has planned to divide students in class into small groups to help them review.
"For example, the Math group - the group with the most friends will be managed, instructed, assigned exercises, regularly discussed online, and 1 session directly instructed the students. As for the Hoa group, Duy Phong was the captain.
The children will be assigned additional exercises by teachers, regularly exchanged and guided. Every week, there are 2 sessions, 1 online exchange and 1 face-to-face meeting to ask questions, discuss and solve problems together" - Mr. Hung said.
In the Math exam, many students commented that Math is difficult, but students in Mr. Hung's class all thought that the exam was suitable for their abilities. This makes the teacher somewhat worried about the results of the students and only feel really secure when the students report the results.
"Before the students took the exam, at the final festival, our teachers and students set a target of over 27 points in 3 subjects. But according to the results announced by the students, only about 70% of them set this target" - Mr. Hung said.
