The Hanoi City Party Committee has just sent a document to the Party Committee and People's Committee of the City on strengthening leadership and direction to improve the quality of organizing and managing semi-boarding meals for students at educational institutions in the city.
According to the Hanoi Party Committee, the practical implementation shows that the organization of semi-boarding meals at basic education institutions has become a habit, and has been recognized and highly appreciated by public opinion.
However, besides the positive results achieved, through monitoring press information and public opinion in the early days of the 2026 - 2027 school year, the organization of semi-boarding meals at some schools in the city still revealed some inadequacies.
In which, there are phenomena of quality and quantity of meals not commensurate with the cost; transportation and delivery of meals are still slow; actual inspection and supervision by local authorities and schools are still formalistic; the application of technology (such as HanoiCheck application) has not fully promoted practical effectiveness.
To continue to strengthen leadership and direction to improve the quality of organizing and managing semi-boarding meals for students at educational institutions, ensuring that the city's humane policies are effectively implemented, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has directed the City Party Committee and People's Committee to direct the City People's Committee to immediately implement a number of tasks.
Accordingly, inspect and verify cases reported by the press about limitations and inadequacies in the organization and management of semi-boarding meals (in Bo De ward, Trung Gia commune, Thanh Oai commune...), take immediate remedial measures, provide timely information to reassure students and parents; strictly handle collectives and individuals involved according to regulations if there are violations.
Strengthen inspection, supervision, and direction in the organization and management of semi-boarding meals for students at educational institutions in the area to ensure that the city's policies are maintained and implemented effectively and in accordance with regulations; the focus is on requiring each commune, ward, and educational institution to proactively review, inspect, and overcome existing inadequacies and limitations; at the same time, make the organization and management of semi-boarding meals for students professional, ensuring nutritional quality and food safety and hygiene according to regulations.
The Party Committee and the City People's Committee shall report to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the implementation results before September 20, 2026.
