On the morning of September 5th, An Giang province simultaneously held the opening ceremony of the new school year, and the Provincial People's Committee also held the inauguration ceremony of 3 boarding schools in 3 land border communes.
Giang Thanh Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Gang Thanh commune), Vinh Gia Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Vinh Gia commune), Khanh An Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Khanh Binh commune) with a total investment of more than 388 billion VND, from the central budget.
The main bridge point of An Giang province in the inauguration and opening ceremony is located in Giang Thanh, online connected to the central bridge point at Muong Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Lao Cai).
Mr. Pham Quang Nho - Principal of Giang Thanh Primary and Secondary Boarding School said: student mobilization work has been done quite well, the total number of students of the school is 934 (100% have enrolled, of which more than 50% of students are Khmer ethnic minorities).
Before the inauguration ceremony, the school completed the work of providing school supplies as well as school supplies and supplies for students. The school has 6 soldiers of Battalion 6 supporting along with 10 contract staff cooking rice to serve boarding and semi-boarding classes.

Ms. Luu Huynh Ngoc Truc, a 9th grade student, shared: "I am very happy to have a new spacious school, fully equipped for us to study and live. My house is about 8km from school, I have to have my older brother pick me up and drop me off because my parents are busy. When I study in boarding school here, I can worry less about many things such as travel, accommodation, my older brother and parents go to work to earn money, everyone can worry less about me.
According to the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, Giang Thanh Primary and Secondary Boarding School has a project scale of 30 classes, 1,000 students; Vinh Gia Primary and Secondary Boarding School has a scale of 45 classes, 1,500 students; Khanh An Primary and Secondary Boarding School has a scale of 45 classes, 1,716 students.
Enrollment work at Primary and Secondary Boarding Schools is basically implemented according to plan, some schools exceed or achieve higher than the plan and design scale, contributing to meeting the learning needs of children in border areas.
