Twin brothers Pham Vu Gia Huy and Pham Vu Minh Hung came to the exam site of Dich Vong Hau Secondary School (Cau Giay ward, Hanoi) to take the Math exam with a confident and comfortable attitude. Sharing the reason, the two brothers said that on the first exam day, they were confident of getting 10 points in English. The Literature exam was essay, it was difficult to estimate the exam score, but both brothers did well. Thanks to that, the pressure of the final exam was not too great.
For Math, I have reviewed and prepared carefully all types of exercises. In addition to studying at school, I also review at the center" - Pham Vu Gia Huy said.
Also taking the exam at Dich Vong Hau Secondary School, Doan Gia Huy is also confident that he will get 10 points in English.
As for Math, Gia Huy is not worried because this is his forte. Although it is a strong subject, the male student said that he does not take extra classes, but mainly studies at home.

As for teachers, they believe that although not difficult, the exam questions are sufficient to classify good and excellent students.
Specifically, in the Literature exam, Ms. Huong Giang - Literature teacher at Archimedes Secondary School and Tuyensinh247 education system, said that the writing part continued to be the "fall point" of differentiation in the exam. The literary essay question requires analyzing images in a poem with a length of about 200 words, while the 400-word social essay question raises the issue of "young people losing connection with life around them".
The exam is manageable, not too difficult, suitable for students to get an average score if they firmly grasp the basic knowledge. However, the differentiation mainly lies in the writing part because it requires reasoning, expression and depth of thought" - Ms. Giang analyzed and predicted that the score distribution will be concentrated in the range of 5 - 7 points; good and excellent students can get 7.5 - 8 points, while excellent papers can reach the threshold of 8.5 - 9.5 points.
Similarly with the English exam, Ms. Mai Linh, an English teacher at Marie Curie Long Bien High School, said that the content of knowledge closely follows the 9th grade program. Therefore, average students can get 5-6 points if they firmly grasp basic knowledge; good students can get 7-8 points.
Excellent students need to be careful in the reading comprehension part and complete paragraphs to get a score of 9 - 10" - Ms. Mai Linh said.
Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the structure and format of this year's 10th grade entrance exam closely follows the sample exam that has been announced according to the new General Education Program. The exam ensures the principle of being moderate, differentiated and well serving the purpose of enrollment in 10th grade.
The exam questions will include questions suitable for the required achievements of the subject and the secondary school level goals under the 2018 General Education Program, mainly within the 9th grade program.
