On June 2, social networks are spreading a report of candidates taking the second round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam.
This student said that the test taker at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology exam site was considered by the supervisor to be 30 minutes late for the test.
According to the posted content, this contestant said that the time to do the test was from 8:30 am, but at 9:00 am (30 minutes late), the supervisor allowed the contestant to hold a pen to do the test in the exam room.
According to this contestant, some contestants in the exam room had previously asked the supervisor many times, but the supervisor thought that the test replied that they had to wait for the bell to do the test.
"The above incident has seriously affected the spirit and test results of me and many students in the exam room because it took too much time. We hope to receive a satisfactory explanation for this problem," the contestant suggested.
Talking to Lao Dong at noon on June 2, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh - Director of the Center for Testing and Evaluating Training Quality of Ho Chi Minh City National University - said that the Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Council had received direct feedback from candidates.
"We are requiring the cluster to verify information and report to the council. When there are verification results, the handling will be reported to the reporter," said Mr. Chinh.
Previously, at the end of the first round of the competency assessment test, a candidate taking the exam at An Giang University's exam site, room P.002, also reported that he was late for the test due to the test being considered by the supervisor.
Ho Chi Minh City National University later confirmed that there was a delay in the candidates' exam preparation time. The exam council at An Giang University apologized to the candidates and decided not to charge fees (300,000 VND) if they took the second round.
The second round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam took place on June 1 with more than 92,000 candidates taking the exam, held in 11 provinces and cities.
Among the candidates who registered for the second round, there were 27,218 new registered candidates, 67,623 students who participated in the first round and continued to register to take the exam to improve their results.
In total, in 2025, 155,556 candidates registered to take the exam.
The results of the second round are expected to be announced on June 16. If candidates take both exams, the higher exam results will be used for admission.
Currently, more than 100 educational institutions have registered to use the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University for admission to the unit.
