Recorded at the exam site of Trung Vuong High School (Saigon ward), many candidates were present early to check personal information, registration numbers, exam rooms and listen to the dissemination of regulations before entering the official exam.

To Phuc Gia Nghi, a student at Nguyen Van Nghi Secondary School, said that he is quite excited and is ready for the 10th grade entrance exam.
Gia Nghi set a goal to pass the entrance exam to Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Physics specialized class). In the general system, she registered her aspiration to Phu Nhuan High School.
I think I have prepared quite fully. Before, I was most confident in English, but in the recent survey, Math got 9.25 points. I will try my best to do the test as well as possible," Gia Nghi shared.


Meanwhile, Dao Trong Anh Khoa, a student at Nguyen Du Secondary School, said he still feels nervous before the exam.
Anh Khoa registered to take the Physics specialized exam and set a goal to enter Le Hong Phong Specialized High School. In the general system, he registered his aspiration to enter Nguyen Thuong Hien High School.
At first, I was quite stressed, but then tried to do many questions to practice skills and review knowledge. I am most worried about Literature because the writing part is not really fluent, and Math is more confident," Anh Khoa said.

According to regulations, candidates must be present at the exam site on time; present their citizen identification card or application form when completing exam procedures. In case they have not been issued a citizen identification card, they can use a student card.
If errors are detected regarding full name, date of birth or priority information, candidates should immediately notify the invigilator or person on duty at the exam site for timely handling. In case of loss of citizen identification card or registration form, they must immediately notify the head of the exam site for consideration and resolution.
Candidates who arrive more than 15 minutes late after the test time signal will not be allowed to take that exam session.
In the exam room, candidates must sit in the correct position to write the exam registration number, maintain order and comply with the invigilator's instructions. Items allowed to be brought into the exam room include pens, rulers, pencils, erasers, easers, graph rulers, drawing tools and handheld calculators without text editing functions, without memory cards.
Candidates are not allowed to bring documents, information transceiver devices, audio and video recordings, explosives, alcoholic beverages and items serving exam cheating into the exam room.
When receiving the exam questions, candidates must carefully check the number of pages and printing quality. If the questions are missing pages, torn or blurry, they must immediately report to the invigilator within 5 minutes from the start of calculating the exam time.

During the exam period, candidates are not allowed to exchange, copy papers or use documents contrary to regulations. Candidates are only allowed to leave the exam room after completing at least 2/3 of the time and must return the exam paper, exam questions and scratch paper before leaving the exam room.
When there is an end-of-hour signal, candidates must stop doing the exam immediately, preserve the exam paper and sign a full confirmation when submitting the paper.
The public 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2026-2027 school year will take place in two days, June 1 and 2, with more than 151,000 candidates taking the exam. Public high schools in the city recruit about 118,500 students into 10th grade, equivalent to about 78% of candidates taking the exam have a chance of passing.
Candidates take exams in three subjects: Literature, Mathematics and English. Those who register for specialized or integrated classes will take additional specialized or integrated subjects accordingly.
This year, the exam is organized at 242 exam sites, including 226 regular exam sites and 16 specialized exam sites, with a total of 6,443 exam rooms. The city's education sector mobilized more than 17,700 teachers, staff and officials to participate in exam supervision and service.
