Attending the grand ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Phi Long - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF); Mr. Pham Tat Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, along with representatives of central departments, agencies, branches and Hanoi City.


On the side of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, there were elder Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu - Standing Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem; Venerable Thich Gia Quang... along with venerable dignitaries of the Patronage Council, Executive Council and monks, nuns, and Buddhists.
At the ceremony, the Buddha's Birthday Message Buddhist Calendar 2570 of the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha was read. The message emphasized the meaning of the Buddha's Birthday in the context that the world continues to face many changes, deeply impacting human life.

In the message of the Supreme Patriarch, the values of compassion, wisdom and spiritual initiation that the Buddha taught not only contribute to building peace and strengthening solidarity but are also the foundation for sustainable development.

The Supreme Patriarch expressed his belief that when all policies are aimed at the interests of the people, putting the people at the center, consensus will be created, and the strength of solidarity will be promoted to achieve new achievements.
2026 is also the year the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha celebrates its 45th anniversary of establishment (1981 - 2026), and at the same time organizes Buddhist congresses at all levels, towards the 10th National Buddhist Congress. The Supreme Patriarch wishes monks, nuns, and Buddhists to continue to dedicate themselves to serving in a spirit of awakening and peace, contributing to building the Sangha to be increasingly solemn and strong.
Speaking at the grand ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - said that this year's Vesak takes place in the context that the country has just successfully organized many important political events, including the 14th National Congress of the Party, the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Long acknowledged the contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Buddhist compatriots to the development of the country, from social security work, building cultural life to consolidating the great national unity bloc. Representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front expressed their desire for the Sangha to continue to promote the tradition of "protecting the country and pacifying the people", the motto "Dao Phap - Dan Toc - Socialism", mobilizing monks, nuns, and Buddhists to live "good life, beautiful religion", accompanying the nation in the new development stage.

After the main ritual part, venerable monks, delegates and Buddhists perform the ritual of offering incense, chanting the Khanh Dan sutra and the traditional Buddha bathing ceremony, praying for national peace and prosperity, world peace, and peace for all living beings.
Buddha's Birthday 2570 takes place in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, spreading the message of compassion, harmony, solidarity and responsibility to serve the community of Vietnamese Buddhism.
