Song Chan Ho Hoai Nam (student of Truong Cong Giai Secondary School, Cau Giay ward) was the first candidate to leave the exam site of Nguyen Nhu Uyen Secondary School (Yen Hoa ward) in the foreign language exam taking place on the afternoon of May 30.
This year's 10th grade high school exam at the Nguyen Nhu Uyen Secondary School exam site has 703 candidates taking the exam with 32 exam rooms. Song Chan Ho Hoai Nam is one of the 2 candidates who were arranged with separate exam rooms (one exam room per person).
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Song Chan Ho Hoai Nam said that in the foreign language subject, he registered to take the Korean language exam. This is the most advantageous subject and the male student has high expectations for scores.
The exam time is 60 minutes (from 2 pm to 3 pm), the male student only needs 20 minutes to complete the 40-question multiple-choice exam. This candidate spends the remaining time reviewing and checking the answers.
I'm not sure I'll get a perfect score, but I'm confident of getting a score of 9.5 or higher," the male student said.

Sharing more about choosing Korean as the third exam subject, the male student said that this is the language he has been communicating with since he was a child.
In 7th grade, Song Chan Ho Hoai Nam went to extra classes and reviewed Korean abroad. But in the past 2 years, he has actively reviewed, made questions, and taught himself grammar, structure...
In addition to Korean, the male student also allocated time to review the remaining 2 subjects, Literature and Mathematics.
In the Literature exam taking place in the morning of the same day, the male student said he completed it at a fairly good level, and hoped to get about 7 points for this subject.
As for Math, the male student will spend a little more time tonight to review again, preparing as best as possible for the last exam tomorrow morning.
Song Chan Ho Hoai Nam placed his first wish at Hoang Quan Chi High School (Yen Hoa ward). This is one of the high schools in the city that will be put into use from the 2026 - 2027 school year.
Starting from the 2021-2022 school year, students participating in the 10th grade public high school entrance exam in Hanoi are allowed to choose Korean as one of the 5 foreign languages to take the exam.
