On January 25, there was a stir online about the incident of color-changing pork being smuggled into the kitchen of L.T.V Elementary School in Ben Cat ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Some parents who posted information and images on social networks said that on January 15, representatives of the Parents' Association's executive committee came to L.T.V Elementary School to conduct a surprise inspection of the input stage for processing food for students.
During the inspection, the team discovered 90 kg of frozen pork ribs suspected of being of poor quality. In which, some pork parts had changed to yellow and green. The above incident caused concern for parents about food safety and hygiene at L.T.V. Elementary School.
Leaders of Ben Cat Ward People's Committee said that the case has been resolved, and all issues are under control.
When detecting food changing color, the inspection team immediately worked with the supplier, then returned all the food right at the time of receipt.
Currently, Ben Cat Ward People's Committee has directed schools in the area to closely monitor the source of food brought into schools, ensure food safety for students and strictly handle violations.
