On the afternoon of July 3, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen - Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee visited, encouraged and congratulated Hoang Quang Minh, a student of class 12A1, An Thi High School (An Thi commune), who is the national valedictorian of group A01.
According to the exam score announcement of the Ministry of Education and Training, Hoang Quang Minh achieved 29.75 points in the A01 combination, including 10 points in Math, 10 points in Physics and 9.75 points in English.
In his high school years, Minh achieved many outstanding achievements such as: second prize in the provincial excellent student competition in Informatics in grade 10; second prize in the provincial excellent student competition in Physics in grade 11; third prize in the provincial excellent student competition in Mathematics in grade 12. Minh also ranked 3rd in the Thinking Evaluation exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology and achieved IELTS 8.0.
Speaking to congratulate Hoang Quang Minh, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen praised Minh's study spirit and exam results. He emphasized that this is not only an honor for himself and his family but also a common pride of the people in the land of learning Hung Yen.
At the same time, he wished Minh to continue to strive to study, achieve more high achievements, become a useful person, and contribute to building his homeland and country to become increasingly rich and beautiful.
Previously, sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper, Hoang Quang Minh said that his study secret is to focus on understanding the nature of knowledge instead of memorizing. "I study according to the nature. First, I must firmly grasp the knowledge in textbooks, understand the nature and then develop further", Minh said.
The male student said he still goes to extra classes but not much, each subject only takes about one session per week. Most of the remaining time he spends on self-study, self-systematic knowledge and practice. "I think the most important thing is still self-study and understanding the nature of knowledge," Minh shared.
With the achieved results, Minh plans to register for the IT1 program of Hanoi University of Science and Technology - a major he has determined to pursue before entering the exam.
