Coincidence of 3 students riding bicycles
In the recent 2026 high school graduation exam, Hai Lang High School (Dien Sanh commune, Quang Tri province) had many joys and prides when two students from the same class achieved high scores, becoming valedictorians of Quang Tri province. They are close friends Le Anh Vu and Nguyen Quang Khai, students of class 12A1.
In the class, there are 44 students, while most friends are picked up and dropped off or ride electric motorbikes, Vu and Khai are among the 3 rare students who stick to school by bicycle every day. Khai's house is 3km from school, every day he rides an old bicycle to class. The pair Khai and Vu often ride each other on rickety bicycles, sharing from everyday stories to difficult math problems.
The coincidence is that all 3 cyclists in the class achieved high scores. Besides Vu and Khai winning the valedictorian title, the remaining cyclist Tran Thai Nhan also excellently achieved Math 10, Chemistry 10 and Physics 8.5 points.
To achieve today's glory, Nguyen Quang Khai has trained himself in an extremely scientific and disciplined lifestyle inherited from his father who used to be a soldier. Khai never stays up late past 11 pm and always maintains waking up from 4-5 am to review lessons. In high school, Khai chose self-study as the main method, combining extra classes to practice questions. With efforts, Khai excellently achieved two perfect scores of 10 in Math and Physics, and 9.25 points in Chemistry, officially becoming the valedictorian of block A00 in Quang Tri province.
Secrets from a common study group and the companionship of teachers
Not inferior to his close friend, Le Anh Vu became the valedictorian of block A01 in the whole province with scores of Math 10, Physics 9.5 and English 9.25. Previously, Vu also affirmed his ability with the second prize at the provincial level in Informatics.
Sharing about study secrets, Vu said that he always sets the principle of studying basic knowledge thoroughly before solving advanced exercises. In particular, Vu applies the "learning from errors" method, if any problem has not been solved, he will ponder and find every way to solve it. In 12th grade, Vu mainly reviewed himself. Outside of school hours, Vu, Khai and 5 other friends in the class established a common group to share materials. When encountering difficult math problems, the group dissected and discussed together to find solutions. It was the companionship of close friends and the study group that helped them improve day by day.
The above achievement comes not only from the perseverance of students but also with the strong imprint of the teachers of Hai Lang High School. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Vice Principal in charge of Hai Lang High School shared that although the input quality of the school is not as good as some other top schools, in recent years the "output" has been very guaranteed.
To achieve this achievement, the school has a classroom staffing strategy closely following the registration combination of students. Throughout the review process, although there is no additional remuneration regime, the teachers all teach with all enthusiasm and responsibility.
Currently, both Khai and Vu are hesitant before the great university thresholds between economics, engineering and information technology majors. These days, in the small house of the two close friends in Dien Sanh commune, there is always laughter as people and neighbors continuously come to share joy and congratulate the will of the two valedictorians of the village school.
