Supporting students to overcome difficulties
To celebrate the opening of the new school year, Dong Nai Hydropower Company organized a scholarship awarding program for students in difficult circumstances at some schools in Lam Dong province.
The activity is maintained annually by the Company to encourage and support poor students to overcome difficulties and rise up in their studies, and at the same time demonstrate the social responsibility of the enterprise towards the locality where the unit operates.
Before the new school year 2026 - 2027, the Company conducts actual surveys at school sites to select students in difficult circumstances who need support.
This year's program is aimed at students in localities adjacent to Dong Nai 3 Hydropower Plant, Dong Nai 4 Hydropower Plant and some related areas such as Quang Khe commune, Bao Lam 4 commune, and Bao Loc Ward 1.
A total of 280 scholarships were awarded to the students. These gifts not only support part of the tuition fees but are also a source of encouragement for students to continue to strive, overcome difficulties and achieve good results in the new school year.
Spreading responsibility to the community
Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh - Director of Dong Nai Hydropower Company said that supporting education and accompanying students in difficult circumstances is one of the social security activities that the unit has focused on for many years.
In addition to the task of production and business, safe and efficient operation of hydropower plants, the Company regularly implements community-oriented activities, especially in remote and isolated areas where people's lives are still difficult.
Coordination with local authorities and schools helps the support program to be implemented to the right beneficiaries, promptly encouraging students before the new school year.
Through scholarship awarding activities, Dong Nai Hydropower Company wishes to contribute to reducing difficulties for families, creating more conditions for students to feel secure in going to school, continuing their journey of learning and training.
This is also an activity demonstrating the commitment to community of Dong Nai Hydropower Company and Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1), contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing, social responsibility and education promotion in Lam Dong province.
