The field of Control Engineering and Automation is opening up vast job opportunities for young people who love technology.

Attracting young people

The development of smart manufacturing technology is making Control Engineering and Automation an attractive choice for many candidates in this year's enrollment season. With a learning environment associated with machinery, modern technology and increasing human resource demand, this major attracts young people who love engineering and are passionate about exploring automatic operating systems.

Nguyen Van Hung - a candidate preparing to participate in the 2026 high school graduation exam in Hung Yen is one of the students who is paying special attention to this major. According to the male student, he likes to learn about production line models, assembly systems and automatic operating equipment in factories. That curiosity makes him want to pursue a field related to control and automation.

I find this industry very interesting because I can work with modern technology, machines and automated systems. I want to be able to participate in operating or designing smart production lines later" - Hung shared.

I think this major is both suitable for my personal interests and has many job opportunities after graduation, so I will apply for admission," Hung added.

Good salary

According to training experts, the strong development of modern manufacturing technology is increasing the demand for human resources in the field of Control Engineering and Automation. This is also the reason why this major has attracted a large number of students to register in recent years.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thai - Lecturer at Hanoi High-Tech College - said that currently most businesses bring automation technology into production lines to improve productivity and optimize operation. "The automation industry is currently one of the very hot industries. Businesses are using more and more automation technology, so the demand for human resources to monitor, operate, manage and maintain these systems is very large," Mr. Thai shared.

Not only does it have wide open job opportunities, this major is also considered to have quite attractive income immediately after graduation. Graduates can work at factories and manufacturing enterprises at home and abroad with salaries ranging from about 14 - 18 million VND/month, depending on their ability and job position.
