According to the newly issued decisions, the 5 new schools include: TH, THCS and THPT Le Thi Rieng; THPT Phan Van Hon; THPT Thoai Ngoc Hau; THPT Ha Huy Tap and THPT Vo Nguyen Giap.
In which, Le Thi Rieng Primary, Secondary and High School located at No. 1 Le Thi Rieng, Thoi An ward (old District 12 People's Committee headquarters), enrolls 450 10th grade targets for the 2026-2027 school year.
Phan Van Hon High School is located in the 38ha resettlement area, Dong Hung Thuan ward, enrolling 810 10th grade targets.
Thoai Ngoc Hau High School is located at 70A Thoai Ngoc Hau, Tan Phu ward (old Tan Phu District People's Committee headquarters), recruiting 675 targets.
Ha Huy Tap High School is located in Nhi Dong 2 neighborhood, Di An ward (headquarters of the old Di An Vocational Secondary School), enrolling 720 targets.
Vo Nguyen Giap High School is located in residential area 8A, Vo Nguyen Giap street, Phu My ward, enrolling 675 public 10th grade targets.
The schools are all public non-business units directly under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, with legal status, seals and private accounts as prescribed.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to organize and arrange teachers, prepare facilities and teaching equipment for schools to deploy enrollment, receive students and organize educational activities from the 2026-2027 school year.
This year, the city has more than 169,600 students completing the secondary school program. Of which, more than 151,000 candidates registered to take the 10th grade public school entrance exam, and high schools enrolled more than 180,000 students.
