With only half a month left until the opening day of the 2026-2027 school year, inter-level boarding school projects in border communes of Dien Bien province are entering the final sprint stage.
Despite the prolonged rainy weather, the investor and contractors are mobilizing maximum manpower, machinery, organizing overtime, increasing shifts, determined to complete the project before August 30.
On August 18, in an exchange with reporters, a representative of the investor of the Inter-level PTNT Primary and Secondary School project in Sin Thau commune shared: "Currently, we are speeding up the progress of installing equipment in classrooms, striving to bring the project to completion on schedule.


Previously, on August 11-14, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Doat inspected the progress in Na Bung, Sin Thau, Nam Ke and Quang Lam communes.
At construction sites, the overarching requirement is to focus resources, accelerate progress, and at the same time ensure quality, safety and synchronously complete conditions to serve students.
In Na Bung, the investor and contractor are required to supplement manpower, materials, equipment, and organize overtime construction to complete the items. In parallel with construction, the locality has completed 100% of the enrollment work.
In the 2026-2027 school year, Na Bung Commune Inter-level Primary and Secondary School is expected to have 31 classes with 1,010 students.
In Sin Thau, despite continuous rain, hundreds of workers and engineers still stayed at the construction site, organizing many construction teams, overtime with the goal of bringing the project to completion before August 30. The school is expected to welcome 1,015 students with 30 classes.


The management staff, teachers, and staff have basically been arranged; the school has also completed the plan to bring students to study and participate in activities at the new facility.
Meanwhile, in Nam Ke and Quang Lam, construction progress is also being accelerated every day. The province requests to increase 50 more personnel for Nam Ke construction site and 100 personnel for Quang Lam; prioritizing completing electricity, water, dining and dormitory systems.
Both schools plan to organize 30 classes with 1,010 students. Nam Ke School has 903 boarding students, 107 semi-boarding students; Quang Lam School has 845 boarding students and 165 semi-boarding students.
Along with completing the project, localities are urgently preparing conditions for the school to operate as soon as the school year begins.
Items such as classrooms, dormitories, dining rooms, electricity and water systems, teaching equipment, and beds must be handed over and fully inspected.
Sanitation, landscape creation and arrangement of teachers and staff are also being implemented in parallel.

Previously, on January 31, 2026, Si Pa Phin Inter-level School was inaugurated, the first project in the key program to build inter-level boarding schools in border communes nationwide according to the policy of the Politburo.
It is expected that on September 5, 9 inter-level boarding schools in border communes of the province will simultaneously organize the inauguration ceremony associated with the opening of the new school year.

Therefore, the last days of August are a race against time, not only to complete construction items but also to ensure all conditions for students to study, eat, live and live safely and conveniently.
