On the morning of September 5, Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc attended the inauguration ceremony of Thanh Nua Primary and Secondary Boarding School, and also attended the opening ceremony of the 2026-2027 school year at the main bridge point of Dien Bien province.
At the ceremony, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc and delegates performed the ceremony of pressing the button to inaugurate Thanh Nua Primary and Secondary School.
The project is invested with a total of 224.4 billion VND, on a planned area of 5.39 hectares, meeting the learning and living needs of about 1,050 students.
The project includes 30 cultural classrooms, 13 subject classrooms, 99 dormitory rooms for students, 15 office rooms for teachers and a system of dining halls, kitchens, administrative blocks and auxiliary items such as sports area, electricity and water systems, fire prevention and fighting.
The items are invested synchronously to create a spacious and modern learning and living environment for students in border areas.
Thanh Nua Primary and Secondary School is one of 100 inter-level boarding general education school projects started in phase 1 in 2025-2026, under the program to build 248 border school areas in 17 provinces across the country according to the policy of the Central Government and the Government.
At the inauguration and opening ceremony, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc presented the school with a bronze statue of President Ho Chi Minh, gave gifts to students and presented gifts from General Secretary and President To Lam to them.
Previously, on the same morning, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Temple of the heroic martyrs at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield and National Martyrs' Cemetery A1.
The commissioning of Thanh Nua Primary and Secondary School is expected to contribute to improving the quality of education, creating conditions for students in border areas to study and train in a better environment.
After the opening ceremony, Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc participated in a number of activities and visited the school grounds and playgrounds at Thanh Nua Primary and Secondary School.
