On October 13, according to information from the People's Committee of Nong Cong District, Thanh Hoa Province, Nong Cong District Police have stepped in to clarify the incident in which an 11th grade female student at Nong Cong 2 High School was "beaten up" by a gang, resulting in multiple injuries and a broken cervical vertebra.
According to the family representative of female student L.V.G.N. (16 years old, 11A6 class student, Nong Cong 2 High School), on the afternoon of October 5, on her way home from school to Tan Phuc commune (Nong Cong district), N. saw a group of students fighting so she intervened.
While trying to stop her, female student N. was suddenly "beaten up" by many other female students. According to some clips provided by her family, N. was hit on the head and neck with helmets by many other female students and kicked brutally with her hands and feet.
After the incident, N. suffered multiple injuries and was hospitalized for emergency treatment. She is currently being treated at Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi).
According to the family, after examination, N. was determined to have a fracture of the second cervical vertebra, and two little fingernails were detached from the fingers. He is currently immobilized and unable to move.
"The family has reported the incident to the police and requested strict handling according to regulations," said a representative of the female student's family.
It is known that regarding the incident, Nong Cong 2 High School has worked with the parents of the children involved and the Tan Phuc Commune Police. The school has also temporarily suspended 6 students involved in the incident to resolve the matter.
