On the morning of September 30, 24/38 parents of class 4/3 at Chuong Duong Primary School (District 1) let their children stay home from school after the incident of "Parents upset because the teacher asked for laptop support".
According to the parents, the reason for not sending their children to class is that they have not received information that Ms. T.P.H - the homeroom teacher, has been suspended from teaching, so they are worried and do not feel secure in sending their children to school.
Mr. Le Cong Minh - Principal of Chuong Duong Primary School confirmed the above information.
Mr. Minh added that the school is thoroughly handling the incident. "We have temporarily suspended Ms. H from her teaching and homeroom duties and invited a qualified teacher to teach the students of class 4/3," Mr. Minh said.
This morning, the school still organized to welcome students of class 4/3 to school as usual. The school has arranged new teachers to teach class 4/3 according to the direction of the People's Committee of District 1 and the Department of Education and Training of District 1. Therefore, he hopes that parents can rest assured and let their children go to school as usual.
On the morning of September 30, Chuong Duong Primary School decided to temporarily suspend Ms. T.P.H - homeroom teacher of class 4/3 and head of grade 4.
The suspension period is 15 days.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, Ms. T.P.H, homeroom teacher of class 4/3 at Chuong Duong Primary School, requested laptop support, but did not receive the consensus of many parents.
Ms. H then refused to accept support but informed the parents that she would not prepare a review outline. Ms. H agreed on the review lesson and the parents reviewed it for their children themselves.
During the meeting between parents, the school and Ms. T.P.H on September 24, 27/38 parents of students in class 4/3 attended.
At this meeting, teacher T.P.H said she had caused parents to misunderstand her intentions through messages in the class group.
"I was wrong to encourage parents to equip themselves with laptops, and wrong to keep the class fund," Ms. H's words were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The female teacher also apologized to the school leaders and parents of the 4/3 class students and promised to correct any mistakes she made.
Although the teacher admitted her mistake and promised to correct it, many parents attending the meeting expressed their disagreement with the teacher continuing to teach or transferring their children to another class.
