Two people died and at least seven were injured in a shooting in Indianapolis, Indiana, in the early morning of July 5.
Police responded after a shooting incident at the intersection of West Market Street and North Illinois Street at around 1:30 a.m. on July 5, the Indianapolis Police Department informed.
"We would like to express our condolences to the victims and their families. Police officers and first responders quickly arrived at the scene," the indianapolis Police Department said on social media X (formerly Twitter).
Several roads were closed in the city's central area as police investigated the scene of the shooting.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to stay away from this area.
As of the morning of July 5, local time, there was still no information about the suspect or the cause of the shooting.
Currently, the condition of the injured victims has not been determined.
