Mr. Hoang Van Anh (Nha Noc village, Ta Khoa commune, has a child studying at Ta Khoa Secondary School) happily said that when they heard the news that the school was being built in a new location, the parents were all excited. He hopes the school will be built soon so that students no longer have to miss school when it rains heavily, so teachers and students can feel secure in teaching and learning.
Mr. Quang Van Quyen - Chairman of Ta Khoa Commune People's Committee - said that the locality is preparing to build a new Secondary School about 1km from the old location (opposite the Commune People's Committee).
According to Mr. Quyen, from 2018 until now, Ta Khoa Secondary School has been flooded every time it rains. Especially at the opening session on September 5, 2022, due to water and mud flooding the school yard and classrooms, more than 200 students of this school had to go to the village cultural house to attend the opening ceremony.
"Most of the local students are from the Thai, Mong, and Muong ethnic groups. People are very happy and excited to support, some families even donated land to contribute to building a new school" - Mr. Quyen informed. believe.
On August 25, talking to reporters, Mr. Dao Van Nguyen - Chairman of Bac Yen District People's Committee - informed that Ta Khoa Secondary School is often flooded. Recently, the Provincial People's Council decided to invest in building a new school. Currently in the process of surveying and formulating the project, which will then be appraised and approved by the province. It is expected that in early 2025, bidding and construction will be carried out.
According to Mr. Nguyen, when the province had an investment policy, the local government and people were very happy and excited.
Previously, in May 2024, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that students at Ta Khoa Secondary School (Ta Khoa commune, Bac Yen district) had to miss school because the school was deeply flooded after heavy rain.
Accordingly, on May 6, heavy rain continued, the entire school yard and classrooms were submerged in water, and 197 students of the school had to miss school. Flooding often occurs at this school because the school is located lower than the stream.
According to the plan, the new Ta Khoa Secondary School was built with the goal of overcoming the storm situation at the old school location; Create spacious, clean, beautiful and safe facilities to serve the learning and teaching needs of students and teachers.
The school was built with the scale of a 3-storey integrated building with 15 classrooms and offices for teachers; 17 boarding rooms for students and kitchen; 10 teacher public affairs rooms.
Project implementation time is in the 2024-2025 school year.
