Recorded at Chuong Duong Bridge, Hanoi on the afternoon of September 10, the number of vehicles moving was not too crowded. According to the reflection of the functional forces working here, in the early morning when the ban on some vehicles was just issued, the traffic was quite chaotic. However, by about 10am, the traffic was basically stable.
Although traffic volume has decreased compared to usual, many people are still concerned that banning some vehicles from crossing Chuong Duong Bridge will cause congestion on other bridges such as Thanh Tri and Vinh Tuy.
However, according to Lao Dong Newspaper, at Vinh Tuy Bridge and Thanh Tri Bridge, traffic was not too heavy.
Looking towards Thanh Tri bridge from Nuoc Ngam bus station, traffic is only crowded at the entrance and exit of Nuoc Ngam bus station. The area on the bridge on the afternoon of September 10 is no longer crowded.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, a motorbike taxi driver in Hanoi, said that he was at the Thanh Tri bridge on the morning of September 10. In the early morning, the number of vehicles passing through this area was very high, sometimes causing traffic jams and making it impossible to move. However, since noon, the number of vehicles has gradually decreased and there is no more traffic jam.

Previously, on the morning of September 10, the Hanoi Department of Transport announced traffic organization adjustments to limit vehicles on Chuong Duong Bridge.
Hanoi Department of Transport said that currently due to the impact of storm No. 3 (storm Yagi), hydroelectric plants are releasing flood water, causing the water level of the Red River to rise, the current to flow rapidly, affecting the infrastructure of the bridge.
To ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles traveling across the bridge, the Department of Transport announced a plan to adjust traffic organization and limit traffic on Chuong Duong Bridge from 8:30 a.m. on September 10.
Accordingly, Hanoi bans passenger cars, contract cars, and tourist cars with more than 9 seats; bans trucks with a load capacity of more than 0.5 tons; buses are allowed to operate on Chuong Duong Bridge. Other bridges are still operating normally.
The Hanoi Department of Transport requested the Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police to arrange forces to guide traffic flow for vehicles to ensure traffic safety and avoid traffic jams. Strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and urban order on roads and intersections.
In fact, after the collapse of Phong Chau bridge (Phu Tho province), many people expressed concerns about the safety of Chuong Duong bridge (crossing the Red River connecting Hoan Kiem and Long Bien districts of Hanoi), especially during the complicated weather and storms.
Speaking to the press, Mr. Tran Huu Bao - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Transport - affirmed that although the bridge has degraded, it still ensures its load-bearing capacity and is basically operating normally.
According to Mr. Tran Huu Bao, since being handed over to Hanoi City for management, the Hanoi Department of Transport and related units have inspected the bridge twice in 2013 and 2021.
According to the latest inspection results, the main bridge still ensures the load-bearing capacity of HL93 (the highest level currently applied to bridges and roads). The wings on both sides of the bridge are still capable of withstanding H6 (6 tons) within a range of 3.5m. The foundation and pillars are also capable of withstanding the load.
