Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway passing through Quang Ngai province is more than 60 km long, with 5 intersections including: Nghia Giang, Provincial Road 624B, National Highway 24, Sa Huynh and Duc Pho. At the end of April 2026, when the expressway was put into operation, 4 intersections were put into use.
The intersection at Km1092+640, belonging to Duc Pho ward, cannot be put into operation due to incompleteness due to site problems. Up to now, local authorities and functional agencies have removed obstacles and handed over the site to the construction contractor.
After being handed over 1.2 km of site by Duc Pho Ward People's Committee at the end of June 2026, the contractor mobilized vehicles, machinery, equipment and manpower to continue construction. However, this intersection still has a large volume of work, so to ensure the set schedule, construction must be deployed continuously.
Mr. Tran Dai Xuan - Managing Director of package XL2 (Deo Ca Group) said that according to the adjusted plan, by October 2026, the intersection at Km1092+640, belonging to Duc Pho ward, will be completed. The unit is focusing on accelerating progress to ensure the completion of the project on schedule.
The intersection at Km1092+640, belonging to Duc Pho ward, is synchronously designed with the expressway overpass and the North-South railway overpass, directly connected to the road leading to My A port. When completed, the project will promote the operational efficiency of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway, creating motivation to promote socio-economic development of the region.
Along with the intersection at Km1092+640, belonging to Duc Pho ward, contractors are focusing on construction and completion of the remaining items of phase 2 of the project, including left tunnels No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3; and at the same time accelerating the construction progress of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon rest stop after the obstacles are removed.
The early completion of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon rest stop is of great significance in completing the service system on the North - South expressway in the East, contributing to improving service quality and ensuring safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic.
The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway started construction in early 2023, passing through Quang Ngai and Gia Lai, is one of 12 component projects of the North-South Expressway in the East phase 2021 - 2025. The expressway is 88 km long, with a total investment of about 20,400 billion VND, designed according to level 120 expressway standards, design speed of 120 km/h; the current phase operates 4 lanes, roadbed width of 17 m.
