Work hard day and night
According to Lao Dong Newspaper, during the National Day holiday on September 2, under the scorching sun at the construction site of the project to upgrade and expand Provincial Road 414C, workers were still working to complete the project soon.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh - Driver Team of Quang Tay Joint Stock Company confided that he works at a construction site far from home so he always misses his wife and children, but still tries to put work first to ensure the project's progress.
According to Mr. Thanh, his hometown is in Quang Nam, more than 800km away, and his economic conditions are still difficult, so he has not returned home to visit his family for nearly a year. He stayed to work to earn more income and save on travel expenses.
"There is only about 1 month left until the road is completed, I can reunite with my family, so it's okay if I don't go home this holiday," Thanh shared.
Mr. Phung Tien Sinh - Rock pouring team of Quang Tay Joint Stock Company said that when it rains, the construction roads become slippery due to mud and soil, making it unsafe for road users.
"There have been a few cases of falling off motorbikes, but only minor scratches. At that time, the workers always encouraged each other and tried to speed up the construction to soon complete Provincial Road 414C," Mr. Sinh added.
Mobilize maximum human resources to speed up the project
Mr. Nguyen Duc Luong - Technical Officer of the Project to renovate and expand provincial road 414C under Quang Tay Joint Stock Company said that workers on holidays, in addition to receiving salary, also receive bonuses and allowances according to regulations.
According to Mr. Luong, all workers unanimously participated in labor even on holidays, to soon complete the project on schedule.
“Currently, the project has completed more than 90% of the work volume. All workers at the construction site continue to maintain their enthusiastic working spirit to ensure technical traffic opening in October 2024, completing the entire route by the end of 2024,” Mr. Luong added.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Manh - Director of Ba Vi District Project Management Board, the construction unit is currently focusing on the seamless renovation of the entire Provincial Road 414C, while repairing and upgrading degraded areas.
"Completing the project on schedule will not only help upgrade the transport infrastructure but also meet the expectations of local people after a long period from 2022 to present," Mr. Manh added.
The project to renovate and expand Provincial Road 414C is more than 8km long, with a total investment of more than 276 billion VND, and will start construction in October 2022. It is expected to open to technical traffic in October 2024.
