On September 10, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Road Administration Nguyen Xuan Anh signed urgent dispatch No. 16/CD - CDBVN on focusing on fixing the incident at Phong Chau bridge Km18+300, National Highway 32C, Phu Tho province.
Accordingly, the Vietnam Road Administration (VRA) requests agencies and units to implement the following contents:
With Phu Tho Department of Transport : Concentrate human resources, equipment, and machinery in search, rescue, and treatment of victims and troubleshooting in the shortest time; organize visits, share, and encourage families of deceased victims and injured victims.
Assign guards, set up barriers and signals at both ends of the bridge; coordinate with local authorities to ensure safety, security and order in the area and guide people and vehicles participating in traffic.
Prepare human resources, vehicles, machinery, equipment, and materials to proactively overcome the consequences of natural disasters and bridge incidents when conditions permit.
Research and implement traffic diversion plans through other routes to ensure quality and safety of bridge works and announce on mass media; propose solutions to overcome bridge incidents.
Consider temporarily suspending operation of Trung Ha bridge.
For Road Management Area I , closely coordinate with Phu Tho Department of Transport and relevant agencies and units to mobilize human resources, vehicles, equipment, and materials to participate in overcoming natural disasters, incidents, search and rescue, and organize traffic flow and guide traffic regulation.
Phu Tho Department of Transport and Highway QLDB I organize 24/7 duty; at the same time coordinate with functional agencies and implement.
The Vietnam Road Administration requests relevant departments to actively advise and direct; coordinate with the above units in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
