The Van Thanh bridge project has a total investment of more than 225 billion VND, spanning the Ca Ty River, connecting Tien Thanh ward with Binh Thuan ward, Lam Dong province.
After more than 3 years of construction, the bridge spans have gradually become clear, but the biggest "knot" currently is still the construction site at both ends of the bridge.

To date, the construction volume has reached about 55% of the contract value. The contractor has completed many main items such as: M2 culvert; T1-T5 pillars; completed casting 114 bridge girders; closed 44 concrete piles; installed 60/114 girders according to the design.
However, the overall progress of the project is being significantly affected due to the lack of access roads at both ends of the bridge. In those conditions, contractors can only deploy underwater items or construct at a standstill in the near-shore area, and cannot organize simultaneous construction as planned.

Regarding compensation, support and resettlement work, there are currently 18 households that have not handed over land, becoming the main reason for the slow progress of the project.
Specifically, in Binh Thuan ward, there are still 13 cases. Among them, there are 6 cases of buying and selling agricultural land with handwritten papers and 7 cases are in the process of adjusting or not yet agreeing on compensation plans.
In Tien Thanh ward, there are still 5 cases that have not completed the handover of land or have not received compensation according to the approved plan.
Faced with the above situation, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai criticized the relevant units because the site clearance deployment is still slow and has not met the progress requirements of key projects.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that, no later than March 30, 2026, Binh Thuan and Tien Thanh wards must complete the handover of land for all 18 remaining cases.
Immediately after receiving the site, the Traffic Project Management Board must arrange sufficient personnel, organize dismantling and leveling, ensuring continuous and planned construction conditions.
Provincial People's Committee leaders also assigned relevant departments and agencies to strengthen urging and closely coordinate with localities, focusing on completely removing site obstacles, creating conditions for the Van Thanh bridge project to be completed soon, promoting the efficiency of connecting urban infrastructure on both sides of the Ca Ty River.
The Van Thanh bridge project is designed as a reinforced concrete bridge, including 6 spans, the total length of the bridge is about 179m, and the bridge width is 19m.
The goal of the Van Thanh bridge project is to serve the needs of travel and exchange of goods between the Van Thanh residential area and the Phan Thiet area; complete traffic infrastructure and urban embellishment.
