Hanoi temporarily suspends 1 bus route from inner city to Dong Anh

The bus route from Thong Nhat Park to Dong Anh district (Hanoi) will temporarily stop operating from February 1, 2025.

Implementing the direction of the Hanoi Party Committee and People's Committee on reviewing and evaluating the overall bus network and the plan to convert buses to use electricity and green energy in the city.

To ensure the roadmap for converting vehicles using electricity and green energy according to the set plan, the Department of Transport has consulted and reported to the City People's Committee and received approval from the City People's Committee to temporarily suspend the operation of bus route No. 43 (Thong Nhat Park - Dong Anh Town) from February 1, 2025 after the contract expires.

The Department of Transport reviews, surveys, and develops a reasonable and effective technical design for the route to serve the re-bidding of bus routes to use electric vehicles and green energy according to the prescribed roadmap.

After the suspension of bus route 43, passengers traveling on the route can use bus routes 65, 11, 143 and other routes in the network to connect and transfer for their trip.

In case passengers have purchased a monthly ticket stamp for the February 2025 route of bus route No. 43 and want to change to a monthly ticket stamp for another route, change to a monthly ticket stamp for an inter-route route (by paying the fare difference) or do not need to use the monthly ticket stamp and want a refund, they can go to the monthly ticket sales points for instructions on changing the ticket or getting a refund.

According to the Hanoi Public Transport Management and Operation Center, the suspension of route 43 is to prepare the necessary conditions to rationalize the route, improve service quality, optimize the route network, improve the efficiency of the network, and better serve the travel needs of the people.
