After winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup, today (January 6), the Vietnamese team will leave Thailand to return home.
According to the plan, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will depart for Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok) at 9:30 a.m. to take the 12:15 p.m. flight. The plane carrying 54 members of the Vietnamese team is expected to land at Noi Bai International Airport at 2:30 p.m.
The team will be welcomed by leaders of the Ministry, the Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). An ambulance will also be arranged for striker Nguyen Xuan Son to ensure his safety and convenience.
As planned, the Vietnamese team will be picked up by a double-decker bus. At 6:00 p.m., coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will have a meeting with the Prime Minister at the Government Office.
Right after winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup, Vietnamese fans had a sleepless night as people from many provinces and cities took to the streets to "storm" on the night of January 5.
This promises that when Duy Manh and his teammates return home, they will receive a warm welcome from Vietnamese football fans.
