On December 19, a video appeared on social media recording the scene of bus route 34 (My Dinh Bus Station - Gia Lam District Administrative Center), license plate 29B-057.13 operating in the wrong lane, weaving, speeding, and continuously honking, posing a traffic safety risk to road users and passengers on Xuan Thuy Street (Cau Giay District).
Immediately after receiving the feedback, the Hanoi Public Transport Management and Operation Center verified and made a record of the violation of the Road Traffic Law in the above case.
According to Mr. Thai Ho Phuong - Director of Hanoi Public Transport Management Center, in recent times, the unit has increased inspection and strict handling of violations of the Road Traffic Law. However, there are still cases of drivers operating vehicles violating the above serious traffic violations.
To ensure traffic safety and improve the quality of public passenger transport services by bus in the city, attract more people to use public passenger transport services, the Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center requests units to disseminate and promptly handle the situation so that bus drivers strictly comply with the Road Traffic Law and operate buses safely for passengers;
Check and review vehicle drivers' driving schedules and working hours in accordance with labor laws and regulations;
Pay attention to inspection, maintenance and repair of vehicles to ensure technical requirements, traffic safety and hygiene during operation and service provision.
At the same time, the Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center assigned the Operation Planning Department and the route monitoring department to focus on strengthening the inspection and supervision of bus operations in compliance with the Traffic Law and strictly handling violations according to regulations.
