After nearly 2.5 years of construction, component project 1A (including Nhon Trach bridge and roads at both ends of the bridge started in September 2022) has a total length of 8.22km (Dong Nai 6.3km and Ho Chi Minh City 1.92km); roadbed is 20.5m - 26m wide. The project has a total investment of VND 6,955 billion, currently 87% complete, 4 months ahead of schedule and is expected to be completed on April 30 this year.

According to the My Thuan Project Management Board, the 2.6km Nhon Trach bridge package currently has about 94% output. At the approach bridge section on the Dong Nai bank, Ho Chi Minh City has completed the entire lower structure and is constructing the bridge surface. It is expected that on March 9, the border connection bridge will mark an important step forward in connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai.
After the closure, Nhon Trach Bridge will continue with stages such as extending external cables, constructing parapets, paving asphalt concrete and completing traffic safety items to open to traffic on the occasion of the April 30 holiday.

Connecting with Nhon Trach Bridge is the approach roads at both ends of the bridge and the progress is currently very good. Some sections of the road are being paved with roadbed, some sections have been granted stone, and some sections have been paved with asphalt.
According to the Project Management Board, the 5.6km approach road package at both ends of the bridge is currently over 75% complete, and is being accelerated to complete on April 30 to synchronously connect with the river overpass.

Along with Nhon Trach Bridge, contractors constructing the intersection between Nhon Trach Bridge and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, the section passing through Thu Duc City, are also speeding up to complete the two connecting branches up and down the bridge in time to reduce the load on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.

Nhon Trach Bridge is one of the most important items on Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai, when completed, it will help shorten the distance from Nhon Trach District (Dong Nai) to Binh Duong and the center of Ho Chi Minh City. This route will also help reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 1A, Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, and connect Ho Chi Minh City with Long Thanh Airport and the Eastern and Southwestern provinces.
