On December 19, at Dung Quat Economic Zone, the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to upgrade and expand the traffic infrastructure system in Dung Quat Economic Zone.
The investment project to upgrade and expand the transport infrastructure system in Dung Quat Economic Zone has a total length of 9.6 km, including the following items: Tri Binh - Thien Dang roundabout route 3.35 km long; Thien Dang - Chu Lai roundabout route 1.75 km long; the route connecting National Highway 1 - Tinh Phong - Binh Tan (phase 1) is 1.5 km long; Lam Vien - Van Tuong route is nearly 3 km long.

The accompanying technical infrastructure items include rainwater drainage systems, sidewalks, trees and lighting. The works belong to group B projects, which are level I road traffic works. The total investment of the project is 350 billion VND, of which the construction cost is 264.5 billion VND.
This is one of four key projects in the province, of great significance, as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress.
The project implementation aims to gradually complete the infrastructure system of traffic routes and technical infrastructure such as sidewalks, trees, vertical drainage, lighting according to the plan; ensure smooth connection of Dung Quat Economic Zone with surrounding areas.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Luong Kim Son, Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks, requested departments, branches and local authorities where the project is located to continue to accompany, focus on removing difficulties and obstacles; coordinate project implementation in a synchronous and effective manner.
He requested investors and contractors to promote the highest sense of responsibility, focus on human resources and equipment, speed up construction progress, ensure project quality and efficiency, and strictly comply with regulations on labor safety and environmental protection.
