On May 2nd, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province said that it had approved the appraisal results of the environmental impact assessment report for the project of the road from Le Duan - Truong Chinh intersection to the North - South expressway intersection.

The Phan Thiet Avenue project is about 12.5km long; the first phase is to build 6 lanes and will be completed to 12 lanes, along with railway overpass and expressway items.
This is a large-scale traffic axis, connecting many types of transport such as road, rail, waterway and aviation.
The route is expected to solve the congestion situation when connecting from the expressway to the center of Phan Thiet; and at the same time form a connecting axis between the North-South expressway, the high-speed railway station, the coastal road and Phan Thiet airport.
Not only meaningful in terms of transportation, the project also contributes to expanding urban space, effectively exploiting land funds on both sides of the route, promoting the development of services, tourism and creating a new economic corridor for the region.
It is expected that the project will be started in 2026, contributing to completing the regional infrastructure network, improving the connectivity of Lam Dong with major economic centers.
