Hanoi man self-immolates on Hoa Binh roadside

Hoa Binh - A man residing in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi has just set himself on fire in Luong Son district.

According to Luong Son Town Police, the incident occurred at around 10:45 a.m. on January 5 at Bai Lang intersection in sub-region 3, Luong Son town, Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province.

Initial verification showed that at that time, people discovered a man walking to the roadside and sitting there. Then, the man took a bottle containing about 500ml of gasoline and poured it on himself, then used a lighter to set it on fire.

When seeing the incident, people in the surrounding area immediately shouted, reported to the authorities and used water to put out the fire.

After putting out the fire, the Luong Son town police force coordinated with the Luong Son district medical center to take the self-immolator for treatment.

Initial identification shows that the person who burned himself was Mr. Ng.C.D (born in 1961, residing in Hoang Mai, Hanoi).

According to Luong Son District Medical Center, the victim was hospitalized with severe burns to both hands, both arms and his face.

Afterwards, Luong Son District Medical Center took the victim to the Le Huu Trac National Burn Institute for emergency treatment.
