In 2017, the Ring Road 3.5 project through Hoai Duc district (Hanoi) began construction. The project is 5.5km long, with a total investment of about VND1,800 billion, invested by the People's Committee of Hoai Duc district.
According to the plan, the project is scheduled to be completed in October 2018. However, up to now, the project has been completed for nearly 7 years but the construction site is still in disarray.
The project's sluggish construction year after year has caused dusty sunlight and muddy rain, affecting people's travel and daily life.
"We hope that the project will be completed soon so that travel will be convenient and people's lives along the route will have many changes" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc (35 years old, Song Phuong commune, Hoai Duc) said.
According to the investor's representative, the project's progress has been delayed for many years due to problems in site clearance, especially the Vuon Chuoi Archaeological Site (Kim Chung Commune, Hoai Duc).
In March 2024, with the permission of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Hoai Duc district organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the excavation and relocation of the Vuon Chuoi archaeological site. The package implementation period is 330 days.
Up to now, the excavation and relocation of the Archaeological Site of Vuon Chuoi has been completed. The contractor is mobilizing machinery and workers to complete the remaining sections of the project.
It is expected that the Ring Road 3.5 section through Hoai Duc district will be completed in 2025.
When completed, the route will contribute to connecting the North and South of the Red River conveniently, helping to reduce traffic congestion, creating conditions for socio-economic development of Hoai Duc district in particular and the city in general.
Not far away, the intersection between Ring Road 3.5 and Thang Long Avenue is under construction by the contractor.
The project started on April 19, one of a series of projects that were started and inaugurated nationwide, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
The scale of the intersection of intersections consists of turbine branches combined with duty tunnel: Trac tunnel in the direction of Le Trong Tan street (now Hoang Tung street) to Highway 32, the heart of the gland with Hoang Tung road, arranging 4 lanes with a total length of 975m. The section walking under Thang Long Boulevard designed a 150m long tunnel. The Hoang Tung road is designed with 157.5m long tunnel, a 220m long wall. On Highway 32, the open tunnel design is 157.5m long, the wall is 200m long.
The turbine branch bridge with a prestressed reinforced concrete beam has a length of 2,357m/4 branches, the width of the bridge is 8.8m, arranged with 2 lanes, the reinforced concrete retaining wall has a total length of 619m.
The project has a total investment of nearly VND 2,400 billion, invested by the Hanoi Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board.
