    On the afternoon of October 1, the leader of the People's Committee of Trung Chai commune (Sa Pa, Lao Cai) confirmed that a landslide occurred near the Lao Cai - Sa Pa BOT toll station.

    It is known that this is a newly built road, helping to shorten travel time from Lao Cai city to Sa Pa.

    According to the leader of Trung Chai Commune People's Committee, the area near Lao Cai - Sa Pa BOT toll station has been partially eroded and is at risk of further erosion.

    Therefore, local authorities contacted the toll station to request the removal of all staff from the station to ensure safety.

    Regarding this, the leader of the Lao Cai - Sa Pa BOT Project Management Board also said that although the landslide did not affect the road passing through here, for safety reasons, the toll station has been temporarily suspended.

    Maintenance staff are currently checking the landslide area before restoring the toll station's operations.
