On March 14, Director of Da Nang City Department of Construction Nguyen Ha Nam signed and issued a document on temporarily suspending operations for some types of trucks during the election. This traffic organization adjustment is to implement the proposal of the City Police to ensure traffic order and safety, and prevent accident risks to serve the election work in the area.
Leaders of the Department of Construction requested to temporarily suspend operations for dump trucks (dump trucks) and trucks with a carrying capacity of 7.5 tons or more on all roads in Da Nang city. The time to implement the temporary suspension order starts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on March 15th (Sunday).
However, to ensure traffic on foreign traffic axes, the suspension order does not apply to some key routes including: Hai Van - Tuy Loan tunnel, La Son - Tuy Loan, Hai Van pass road, National Highway 1, Nguyen Van Cu road (section from Ta Quang Buu road to Hai Van pass road), National Highway 14B (from Ho Chi Minh road to Tien Sa Port), Hoa Cam overpass and Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway.
The Department of Construction requests the City Police to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of communes, wards and related units to implement a plan to ensure traffic safety; strengthen forces to set up checkpoints, guide and strictly handle violations. In particular, functional forces need to focus on closely monitoring polling areas located on National Highway 14B and National Highway 1.
Regarding coordination, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism together with transport associations and port management units are responsible for widely propagating and announcing this traffic diversion plan to transport businesses. Investors and construction project operators in the city must proactively grasp information to have plans to deploy construction and transport materials appropriately, avoiding affecting the people's election day.
The Department of Construction also requested relevant units to urgently implement and ensure that the temporary suspension of vehicles takes place seriously, contributing to the overall success of the election organization in the locality.
