At noon on October 29, Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Vice Chairman of Xuan Truong - Da Lat Ward (Lam Dong), said: In the morning of the same day, the authorities had basically completed the inspection, recording and assessment of the level of landslides and subsidence on D'ran Pass.

According to statistics, on National Highway 20 through D'ran Pass in Xuan Truong - Da Lat Ward, there are 7 large and small landslides and subsidence points.
Of which, there is 1 landslide and 1 large-scale subsidence right next to Cau Treo.

This landslide caused a large amount of rock and soil and pine trees from the top of the positive slope to fall onto the road.
Meanwhile, the subsidence point on the negative slope extends about 30m along the road surface.
At the subsidence location, about 10m were submerged from 0.4 to 0.5m deep, causing a broken foundation and asphalt on the negative slope.

Landslides and subsidence pose an unsafe risk to people and vehicles traveling on National Highway 20 through the D'ran Pass area.
According to the leader of Xuan Truong - Da Lat ward, this is a section of the route in the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 20 through Mimosa Pass and some related works, invested by Project Management Board 85.
After checking and surveying the level, the People's Committee of Xuan Truong - Da Lat Ward coordinated with the authorities of Lam Dong Province to block both directions of traffic through D'ran Pass to fix the problem.

That same morning, the Lam Dong Provincial Road Maintenance Management Board is coordinating with the construction unit to clear drainage ditches, reinforce slopes, patch potholes and handle cracks.
Currently, the repair work is being urgently deployed, striving to completely restore the road surface as soon as possible to ensure safety for people and vehicles traveling through the D'ran Pass area.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper: Last night, October 28, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, at around 8:00 p.m. the same day, rocks and soil from the positive slope suddenly slid down the surface of D'ran Pass, obstructing traffic.

In addition, the authorities also discovered a cracked road surface near Cau Treo, at risk of subsidence.
That same night, the authorities of Xuan Truong - Da Lat ward coordinated with D'ran commune and the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police to block off and handle the scene.
